The Bear season 2 was just as amazing experience as season 1 with some new challenges. Production Designer Merje Veski, her art dept, and my team were tasked with building and designing a fully functioning restaurant on a stage in less time than what is shown in the story line. With guidance from Chef's Matty Matheson and Courtney Storer we were able to make it authentic and functional . Not only was it a functional set, but also a prep and test kitchen for all food on the show. Most days Chef Coco, her team and set dec would be in the kitchen 2-3 hours before call cooking and prepping for the day. Episode 6, Fishes, was a fantastic opportunity to creatively go all out. Director and show-runner Chris Storer really let us run wild and embrace italian Christmas with an 80's twist. Really couldn't of done it without my amazing team.
