Working on The Bear Season 1 was probably one of the most fun and creative projects I have worked on. We were able to make the restaurant just as much a character as the cast. Chris Storer, Merje Veski and Andrew Wehde created an environment where you could speak your mind and bring ideas to the table. It's rare to work on a project you feel constant support on. On this Season my buyer Cathy and I got our hands dirty and got in touch with any and all used restaurant vendors we could find in the Midwest. As you see it on the show, we created a functioning restaurant on a soundstage. Cast was actually cooking, cutting, washing on the set and helped create a more realistic, toxic, kitchen environment.
